Hamid Karzai Condemns Pakistani Airstrikes in Eastern Afghanistan

Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned recent airstrikes by Pakistani forces on the eastern provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika. He stated that the bombings resulted in the deaths of several women and children, describing the attacks as a blatant violation of internationally accepted principles of human rights and national sovereignty.
Karzai urged the Pakistani government to reassess its relations with Afghanistan based on good neighborliness, mutual respect, and adherence to international law. He emphasized that the continuation of destructive and hostile policies benefits neither country and will only lead to increased tensions and hostility.
The airstrikes come amid repeated complaints from residents of Afghanistan’s border regions regarding violations of the country’s airspace by Pakistani forces. Despite claiming sovereignty, the Taliban administration has so far failed to take a clear stance or issue a strong response to these actions.
Experts warn that continued airstrikes not only undermine peace and stability in border areas but also pose an escalating threat to the lives of innocent civilians.
