Plane crash in California kills two children

Two children were killed and two other people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a plane crashed northwest of Fresno in California, US.

According to Fox News, emergency crews from several parts of the county were sent to the scene to contain a fire caused by the crash and search for survivors.

Josh Sellers, a spokesman for the Fresno Fire Department, said emergency crews first found two injured people at the scene and transported them to hospital in critical condition. He said two other victims were also found inside the aircraft, and their deaths were confirmed at the scene.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office later identified the dead as children. Fresno is located in central California and is one of the state’s most populous counties.
