One-third of Gen Z Trump voters regret backing him, poll finds

A new poll in the United States shows that 31% of Gen Z members who voted for Donald Trump in the presidential election now say they regret their choice. The finding comes as Republicans prepare for this autumn’s midterm elections.

According to the survey, conducted by Navigator, Gen Z showed the lowest level of support for Trump among all age groups. Only 33% of respondents in this group said they strongly or somewhat approve of the US president’s performance.

The poll also said young Americans make up a larger share of those dissatisfied with Trump and the state of the economy. It once again highlights signs of declining popularity for him and the Republican Party.

Gen Z was one of the important sources of votes for Trump in the 2024 election. The Navigator poll was conducted with the participation of 3,000 American citizens from June 4 to July 27.
