Iran’s envoy in Moscow says US forces’ morale and supplies have deteriorated

Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Moscow, said the situation of US military forces has reached a worrying stage in terms of morale, logistics and equipment, and that in addition to cases of suicide, a number of these troops have also been killed in mass clashes.

According to Mehr news agency, Jalali described the mental condition of US forces as “dire” in an interview with RIA Novosti. He said that, alongside morale problems, the condition of infrastructure, food and logistics among these forces is also poor.

The Iranian ambassador in Moscow added that despite this not being confirmed by the Pentagon and US officials, there is, in his view, no doubt about the poor condition of the equipment and personnel.

Jalali said this situation was the result of what he called the US officials’ “wrong and strategic calculations” about the Iranian people’s ability to resist.

The report also said that on February 28, corresponding to 9 Hoot 1404, the US and Israel launched attacks on targets inside Iran, after which Iran responded to those attacks.

The source of the report also said that Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum in mid-June titled the “Islamabad Memorandum” to halt hostilities, but that this memorandum, according to the report, has been violated several times by Washington.
