Taliban Administration Prioritizes Expanding Regional Relations

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban administration, announced that expanding ties with regional countries, focused on economic cooperation and solidarity, is at the top of their agenda. He stated that these relations will be based on ‘Afghanistan’s national interests’ and aimed at strengthening regional interactions. Mujahid also emphasized that, according to the Taliban administration, Afghan territory will not be used against any country. The Taliban’s emphasis on developing regional relations comes amid serious limitations and challenges in Afghanistan’s official interactions with many countries worldwide following the political developments of 1400 (2021).
