Taliban Representative Discusses Bilateral Relations with Indonesian Official

Maulvi Saadullah Baloch, acting ambassador of Afghanistan in Jakarta, met with Dr. Hidayat Nur Wahid, deputy speaker of Indonesia’s People’s Consultative Assembly, to discuss bilateral relations between Kabul and Jakarta. The Afghan embassy in Indonesia announced that during the meeting, both sides explored ways to strengthen friendly ties and develop bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Indonesia. According to the embassy, Maulvi Baloch emphasized the Taliban administration’s readiness to expand mutual cooperation with Indonesia. In response, the deputy speaker of Indonesia’s People’s Consultative Assembly highlighted the importance of relations between the two Muslim countries and welcomed the continuation of dialogue and bilateral collaboration. Indonesia, a Southeast Asian country, has cooperated with Afghanistan in various educational and religious programs in recent years.
