Taliban Consulate Representative Holds Talks with Iranian Official in Mashhad

The acting head of the Afghan Consulate in Mashhad held discussions with the head of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ office for northern and eastern Iran regarding ongoing cooperation and some administrative and commercial issues.

According to the Afghan Consulate in Mashhad, Mawlawi Noor Mohammad Mutawakkil, the acting head of the consulate, met with Dr. Gholam Abbas Arbab Khalis, and both sides discussed the continuation of cooperation between the two parties.

During the meeting, emphasis was also placed on addressing issues related to the so-called “Silk Road,” facilitating administrative and commercial procedures, and easing the movement of citizens of both countries.

Mashhad is one of the main cities hosting Afghan migrants in Iran, and the Afghan Consulate in this city is responsible for providing consular services to a large number of citizens.
