Taliban Official Abdul Salam Hanefi Inspects Pul-e-Charkhi Prison Conditions

The Press Office of the Taliban’s Prime Minister’s Office announced that Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanefi, the administrative deputy of the office, visited various sections of Pul-e-Charkhi Prison to assess the conditions of the inmates and the provision of services within the facility.
According to the source, a delegation led by Hanefi evaluated different prison blocks, reviewing administrative operations, the quality of food supplies, health and hygiene conditions, educational programs, and other aspects related to prison management.
The Taliban administration reported that Abdul Salam Hanefi and his companions also engaged in conversations with several prisoners to listen to their concerns and requests. Following the visit, directives were issued to the relevant authorities to address the matters raised.
The delegation additionally inspected classrooms, the library, kitchen, health centers, educational departments, and the storage area for medicines. At the conclusion of the visit, the Administrative Deputy of the Taliban’s Prime Minister’s Office emphasized the importance of upholding the Islamic and human rights of prisoners and improving service quality at the prison.
Pul-e-Charkhi Prison, located in eastern Kabul, is considered one of the largest prisons in the country.
