Taliban Weather Authority Issues Severe Rainfall Warning for 20 Provinces

The Meteorology Department of the Taliban’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has announced that on Saturday, July 24, wide areas of the country will experience heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, flash floods, and strong winds accompanied by dust storms.
According to the department, rainfall amounts are expected to range between 10 to 35 millimeters in various regions, which could cause flash floods in some areas.
The provinces included in this warning are Badakhshan, Takhar, Baghlan, Nuristan, Panjshir, Kunar, Laghman, Kapisa, Parwan, Nangarhar, Kabul, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Paktika, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Bamyan, Samangan, Sar-e Pul, and Ghor.
The Meteorology Department has urged residents of these provinces to take necessary precautions and avoid traveling on flood-prone routes and vulnerable areas.
