Fire Erupts in Israeli Embassy Consular Section in Moscow, Services Suspended

The Israeli Embassy in Moscow has announced that consular services have been suspended for the next few days following a fire in the consular section of the mission.

Russian news agency TASS reported, citing the embassy, that the fire occurred yesterday in the reception area for consular visitors. Embassy officials stated that there were no casualties or injuries resulting from the incident.

According to the issued statement, the consular section will not be accepting visitors until further notice, and the resumption date for services will be announced later.

Meanwhile, the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the likely cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit. No further details have been released regarding the extent of possible damage.
