Taliban Consul in Istanbul Discusses Investment Opportunities with Turkish Private Sector

The Taliban’s Consul General in Istanbul met with officials from four separate Turkish private sector and business community institutions to discuss investment opportunities in Afghanistan’s industrial, agricultural, mining, energy, health, and transport sectors.
During these meetings, both sides reviewed the existing capacities for investors and traders to engage in each other’s markets and emphasized expanding cooperation between the private sectors of Afghanistan and Turkey.
They also discussed increasing joint meetings, trade exhibitions, and regular programs among traders and investors from both countries.
In recent years, Turkey has been one of Afghanistan’s key regional trade partners, and efforts to strengthen economic ties between the private sectors of the two countries continue.
