Kabul Municipality Representative Denies Mayor’s Arrest Reports

Nematullah Barkazi, a representative of Kabul Municipality, has denied reports regarding the arrest of Kabul’s mayor, calling them “far from the truth.” He emphasized that the daily affairs of the municipality are proceeding normally under the management of Abdul Rashid.

Barkazi stated that the dissemination of such reports is baseless and that administrative and service activities of Kabul Municipality continue without interruption. According to him, no changes or disruptions have occurred in the working process of this urban institution.

In recent days, some reports about the arrest of Kabul’s mayor had been published, prompting widespread reactions. However, the municipality representative insists that the leadership of this institution continues to carry out its responsibilities and city services are being provided as usual.
