Nangarhar Governor Meets Kazakh Ambassador to Boost Trade and Bilateral Cooperation

The Nangarhar Information and Culture Department announced that Mohammad Naeem Akhund, the governor of Nangarhar province representing the Taliban administration, met with Aziz Akbasov, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan. The two sides discussed expanding trade relations and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
According to the statement, the meeting emphasized the development of commercial ties between Nangarhar and Kazakhstan. Both parties called for creating practical opportunities to increase the level of trade between merchants from the two countries.
It was reported that facilitating conditions for traders and industrialists, easing visa issuance processes, and cooperation in health, agriculture, and other sectors were among the topics discussed. Nangarhar is considered an important province in eastern Afghanistan, where efforts have been made in recent years to expand commercial activities.
Almas Bakhtov, the head of the UNHCR Eastern Zone, was also present at the meeting along with his colleagues. They stressed the continuation of support for returning families.
