Six Killed and Three Injured in Traffic Accident in Kandahar

Officials from the Kandahar Police Command under the Taliban administration announced that six people died and three others were injured in a traffic accident in the Daman district of Kandahar province. The incident occurred on the Kabul-Kandahar highway.

According to Mullah Asadullah Jamshid, spokesperson for the Kandahar Police Command, the accident happened when a Corolla car collided with a tanker truck in the Daman district. The Kabul-Kandahar highway is considered one of the country’s busiest and most vital routes, with hundreds of passenger and cargo vehicles passing through daily.

Officials stated that the injured were transferred to the hospital for treatment. No further details have been provided regarding their medical condition.

The Police Command added that investigations into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing. Traffic accidents on the country’s highways regularly claim the lives of citizens, highlighting the urgent need for greater attention to road safety and adherence to traffic laws.
