Taliban Representatives Meet Bangladeshi Ambassador in Tashkent to Discuss Bilateral Relations

The Taliban administration’s embassy in Uzbekistan announced that Abdulgafar Bahr, the Taliban’s representative in Tashkent, met with Mohammad Monirul Islam, the Bangladeshi ambassador to Uzbekistan, to discuss bilateral relations.
According to a statement released by the embassy, the meeting covered topics related to the relations between the Taliban administration and Bangladesh, the current political situation, as well as trade and economic issues.
No further details regarding the specific agenda points or potential practical outcomes of the talks were disclosed. The Taliban administration speaks of expanding political and economic interactions with regional countries, despite not being recognized by a large part of the international community, which affects the level and quality of its official relations.
Although Taliban officials emphasize developing trade ties, experts believe that a lack of transparency in economic policies and internal restrictions could hinder the expansion of sustainable cooperation with other countries.
