Two Human Trafficking Leaders Killed in Kabul, Five Arrested in Taliban Operation

The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior Affairs announced that during a special operation in Kabul city, two leaders of a human trafficking group were killed and five other members of the network were arrested.

According to the ministry, the operation was launched by forces from Kabul’s 15th security district. As a result of this action, Karimullah and Ahmadi, identified as prominent figures in the group, were killed, and five others were detained on charges of being members of the network.

The Ministry of Interior further added that in a separate operation in Kabul’s 18th security district, a man named Haji Syed Ashraf, who had previously been kidnapped, was rescued from the kidnappers.

Although the Taliban administration reports increased efforts to control organized crime, Kabul’s citizens continue to call for greater transparency regarding operation details and the fate of those arrested, as concerns about the expansion of human trafficking networks and urban security remain persistent.
