Dozens of Leprosy Patients Discharged in Ghor After Successful Treatment

Officials at a 300-bed medical center for leprosy patients in Ghor province have announced that dozens of patients have been discharged and reunited with their families after completing their treatment and improving their health condition.

According to the center’s officials, the treatment process for these patients was carried out according to a regular health program. Following a final assessment of their condition, the responsible committee decided to return the patients to their families.

This center is one of the few specialized facilities in the country providing dedicated medical services for leprosy patients. Leprosy is a contagious but treatable disease; if diagnosed and treated promptly, its progression can be prevented.

Officials have emphasized that monitoring the patients’ health will continue after discharge to prevent the recurrence or spread of the disease in the respective areas.
