The Public Works Department of the Taliban administration has announced the commencement of construction on a 25-kilometer road in Ghazni province, with a budget of 757 million Afghanis. The road will start from Ghazni city, pass through Khogiani district, and extend to Jaghatu district.

According to the information provided, the project also includes the construction of 157 culverts and 750 meters of retaining walls to facilitate easier vehicle movement in vulnerable areas. These measures are planned to prevent road damage and reduce potential risks during the rainy season.

Officials stated that the project will create job opportunities for a number of local residents during its implementation. Furthermore, it is expected that upon completion, the road will ease transportation issues for the people of Khogiani district and facilitate easier transfer of agricultural products to urban markets, which is significant for the local economy.

The Public Works Department emphasized that several other construction projects have been launched and are underway across the country to address transportation and transit challenges in various provinces. However, citizens continue to stress the need for transparency in the use of public funds and adherence to project standards.

The project inauguration ceremony was attended by Mullah Sardar Mohammad Madani, Deputy Governor of Ghazni, Mullah Abdul Wali Tayeb, Head of Public Works for the province, and several local officials.
