Avalanche and Flood Destroy 30 Homes in Badghis Province

The Media Office of Badghis Province, under the Taliban administration, announced in a statement that following heavy snowfall and flooding last night, 30 residential houses in several districts of the province were either completely or partially destroyed.

According to the statement, these incidents, in addition to damaging homes, have also harmed residents’ agricultural lands, causing further financial losses. No additional details have been released regarding the exact extent of the damage or possible casualties.

Badghis Province is located in western Afghanistan and annually faces risks of avalanches, floods, and damage to rural infrastructure during the cold and rainy seasons. The inhabitants of this province largely depend on agriculture and livestock, making natural disasters a direct threat to their livelihoods.
