334 Afghan Migrants Released from Pakistani Prisons and Returned Home

The Taliban’s Department of Migrants and Repatriates has announced that during this week, 334 Afghan migrants were released from Pakistani prisons and returned to Afghanistan.

According to the department’s information, these individuals were detained by Pakistani police due to issues related to their residence documents. It was reported that their imprisonment periods ranged from three days to three months.

The detention of Afghan migrants in Pakistan continues amid many having been forced to leave their country due to difficult economic conditions and years of insecurity. In many cases, the absence or deficiencies of residence documents have led to their arrest and imprisonment.

So far, no further details have been released about how these individuals were freed or the coordination efforts made between the two sides.
