Taliban’s Transport Ministry Warns of Heavy Rain and Flash Floods in 23 Provinces

The Taliban’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has announced that heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and the risk of flash floods are expected tomorrow in 23 provinces across the country. This warning was issued today (Wednesday) via the ministry’s official page on X.

According to the announcement, the provinces of Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kapisa, Panjshir, Parwan, Baghlan, Samangan, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Takhar, Balkh, Sar-e Pol, Faryab, Ghor, Badghis, Daykundi, Bamyan, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Logar, and Paktia are vulnerable to these weather conditions.

Rainfall amounts in various areas are predicted to range between 10 to 30 millimeters. Additionally, strong winds are expected in central and southeastern provinces.

Wind speeds are forecasted to reach between 50 to 90 kilometers per hour in different locations. Residents of these provinces have been urged to take necessary precautions in light of the potential flash floods.
