Netanyahu and Eisenkot Camps Lead in Israeli Parliamentary Elections

According to reports from Israeli media, the counting of over 50% of the votes in the Israeli parliamentary elections indicates that Benjamin Netanyahu’s camp has won 56 seats, while Benny Gantz and Eisenkot’s camp has secured 49 seats.

Earlier, after approximately 42% of the votes were counted, Netanyahu’s Likud party was reported to have won 57 seats, with the rival party obtaining 47 seats. Additionally, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the Arab parties’ list had secured 15 seats after counting 48% of the votes.

In this political system, forming a cabinet requires the support of at least 61 seats out of the total parliament, which can only be achieved through a coalition between various political factions.
