Trump Former Ally Calls Him a ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’ After Woman Is Beaten at Rally

Former U.S. Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has condemned the beating of a woman at a campaign rally linked to the congressional midterm elections, after the woman called for the Jeffrey Epstein files to be released and pursued.

In a post on the social media platform X, Greene asked since when the slogan “Release the Epstein files” had become an excuse for violence and whether the so-called MAGA movement supports violence against women.

She said a video showed a woman wearing a shirt bearing the slogan “Release the Epstein files” at a Donald Trump rally, asking the U.S. president to release documents related to the case. According to Greene, while attendees chanted “USA,” several men affiliated with MAGA beat the woman.

The former congresswoman, who had previously been a supporter of MAGA, described the incident as “disgusting and vile” and asked whether the woman deserved to be beaten for wearing the shirt or for disrupting Trump’s rally.

Greene went on to accuse Trump and the Republican Party of encouraging violence against women, and described the MAGA movement as a “gross and creepy cult” that, in her view, does not represent Christian values. She concluded by saying Trump was “a wolf in sheep’s clothing who has misled the flock.”
