Russian Foreign Intelligence Chief Meets Taliban Spy Chief in Kabul

Sergei Naryshkin, head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, met in Kabul with Abdul Haq Wasiq, head of intelligence for the Taliban administration, to discuss the development of relations and intelligence cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting took place on Thursday, but Russian officials and the Taliban administration have so far not released further details about the focus of the talks or the outcome of the meeting.
