Taliban Industry and Commerce Minister Invited to Visit Bishkek

Syed Karim Hashemi, acting minister of industry and commerce in the Taliban administration, met in Kabul with Kyrgyz Ambassador Tordakun Sadykov to discuss expanding trade and economic ties and joint investment.

In a statement, the Taliban-run Ministry of Industry and Commerce said Hashemi stressed the implementation of trade agreements signed between businesspeople from the two countries during the meeting.

The Kyrgyz ambassador also invited the acting minister of industry and commerce to travel to Bishkek with a trade delegation. No further details were provided about the timing of the visit or the agreements discussed.
