Gaza death toll rises to 73,786, Palestinian health ministry says
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said that, as Israeli attacks continue, the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 73,786, while the number of wounded has reached 174,771.
The ministry said on Monday that Gaza hospitals received the bodies of two martyrs and 25 wounded people in the past 24 hours. Based on these figures, the casualties recorded during this period have once again underscored the worsening humanitarian situation in the territory.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza also said that since Oct. 11, 2025, 1,372 Palestinians have been martyred and another 4,659 injured.
At the same time, the widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure has also been cited as one of the main consequences of the war. According to published information, around 90% of civilian facilities and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip have been destroyed, and the United Nations has estimated the cost of rebuilding the area at nearly $70 billion.
The Gaza Strip is a narrow coastal strip in southern Palestine that has been under blockade for years, and in the current war, one of the most severe humanitarian crises has unfolded there.
