The Taliban administration said that Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting foreign minister of the administration, held a phone call with Rosemary DiCarlo, the United Nations deputy secretary-general for political and peacebuilding affairs, to discuss bilateral cooperation and the Doha process.

According to the Taliban administration’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the call reviewed the overall state of cooperation between the administration and the United Nations, and the two sides exchanged views on ways to expand future cooperation.

The ministry said part of the call was also devoted to how the two sides would engage and cooperate in the future in relation to the Doha process.
