Taliban minister stresses unity during visit to Nuristan

Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Hanafi, acting minister for the Taliban administration’s Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, met religious scholars, local officials, tribal elders and several residents of Doab district in Nuristan province during a visit to the area.

According to the Taliban administration, he praised the sacrifices made by Nuristan residents and people affiliated with the administration, and urged officials to deal appropriately with the public and observe Islamic ethics.

Based on these remarks, Hanafi also stressed solidarity among the people and said there was no place for ethnic, linguistic or regional bias within the framework of the “Islamic system.”

He also emphasized the mutual relationship between the people and the Taliban administration in terms of responsibility and service.

Nuristan province is located in eastern Afghanistan, and Doab is one of the districts of the province.
