Afghan Post delegates attend Asia-Pacific Postal Union congress in Bangkok

The 14th Congress of the Asia-Pacific Postal Union has begun in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, and a delegation from Afghan Post is also taking part.

At the meeting, representatives from 32 countries across Asia and the Pacific, including Afghanistan, are discussing the expansion of postal cooperation, the drafting of a four-year development strategy, training programmes, and improvements to the quality of traditional and modern postal services.

According to published information, the congress is held every four years in one of the member countries of the Asia-Pacific Postal Union.

The Asia-Pacific Postal Union is a regional body in the postal services sector, where member countries consult on coordination, standardisation and the development of postal services at the regional level.
