Yemeni Ansarullah Claims Downing of Turkish Bayraktar Drone in Al-Jawf

Yahya Sarea, spokesperson for Yemen’s armed forces, announced that a Turkish-made Bayraktar Akıncı combat-reconnaissance drone was targeted and shot down in the Al-Jawf province. According to him, the drone, attributed to the Saudi-led coalition, was hit using appropriate weaponry while carrying out what he described as “hostile actions.” Sarea emphasized that Yemen’s armed forces will stand firm against any violation of the country’s sovereignty and claimed they have the capability to counter such attacks. The Bayraktar Akıncı drone is a product of Turkey’s defense industry and has been used in several regional conflicts in recent years.
