Iraqi Prime Minister Meets Qatar’s Emir in Doha, Expresses Condolences for Late Emir Hamad bin Khalifa
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi visited Qatar on an official trip and met with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, to offer condolences on the passing of his father, Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
According to media reports, Al-Zaydi arrived today at Doha International Airport accompanied by a delegation. He was welcomed by Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khalifi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, and Mohammed Jafar Al-Sadr, the Iraqi Ambassador to Qatar.
This visit takes place amid ongoing political and regional cooperation between Baghdad and Doha in recent years. Qatar is considered one of the influential countries in the Gulf region, while Iraq aims to expand its relations with the Arab countries in the region.
