Ansar Allah Warns US Would Be Biggest Loser if Regional War Expands

Abdullah Naami, a member of the political office of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, has warned against escalating military tensions in the region. He stated that if the war spreads extensively, “the biggest loser will be the United States.” He referred to what he described as the intensification of US military attacks in the region, noting that Washington has not adhered to its commitments and agreements, a pattern he says has been observed in previous wars. Naami added that the region is heading toward “a major explosion.” The Ansar Allah official also addressed Saudi Arabia, saying that important targets are within reach of Yemen’s armed forces. According to him, Ansar Allah is prepared to pay “the heaviest costs” to lift the blockade on Yemen. Naami further warned that if the United States and Saudi Arabia simultaneously engage in military action against Yemen, they would be entering a new crisis. He emphasized coordination with what he called the “Axis of Resistance,” stating that any potential battle would be joint. Finally, regarding threats against Sanaa airport, he asserted that the airport will continue its operations, and any attempt to block its incoming or outgoing flights would be met with a broad response. Yemen has been engulfed in extensive conflict since 2015 between Ansar Allah and the Saudi-led coalition, a war that has caused severe human and economic consequences for the country.
