Taliban Administration Emphasizes Job Creation and Crime Reduction in Western Afghanistan

The Press Office of Herat Province announced that a coordination meeting of officials from the western zone of the country was held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Noor Ahmad Islamjar, the governor of Herat. In this meeting, officials and representatives from the provinces of Ghor, Farah, Badghis, and Nimroz discussed job creation opportunities, reduction of criminal activities, and prevention of drug cultivation and trafficking.

According to the press release published on Saturday, 27th of Saratan (Afghan calendar), the governor of Herat stressed the importance of providing employment opportunities for young people, particularly in agriculture, industry, and construction sectors in the western provinces. He also called for strengthening coordination among the officials of this zone to control criminal activities.

Part of the meeting emphasized the implementation of the “Supreme Commands of the Commander of the Faithful,” a topic that has been central to many of the Taliban administration’s policies in recent years and has had widespread impacts on the social and economic life of the residents.

Additionally, participants exchanged views on improving the conditions for both religious and contemporary education. However, no specific details were given regarding practical programs, financial resources, or timelines for fulfilling these commitments.

Officials from the mentioned provinces also provided reports on the status of the areas under their control, spoke about the measures taken to create jobs and improve living conditions, and shared the challenges and problems they currently face.
