Taliban Spokesperson Dismisses Pakistan PM’s Accusations as ‘Repetitive and Incorrect’

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban administration, described Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s claims about terrorist groups using Afghan territory to plan and carry out attacks against Pakistan as “repetitive and incorrect.” He stated that such accusations have been made before and Kabul has rejected them.
Mujahid emphasized that the Taliban administration does not allow foreign groups to operate in Afghanistan or use the country’s territory against Pakistan or any other nation. According to him, Afghanistan’s territorial security is a priority and this has been assured to foreign parties.
The Taliban spokesperson further added, “Such suspicions, propaganda, and contradictory opinions have always caused tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan and destroyed an atmosphere of peace and trust.”
Accusations of using Afghan soil to launch attacks on Pakistan have been a key source of tension between the two countries in recent years. While Pakistani officials have repeatedly voiced their security concerns, the Taliban administration has consistently denied these claims. However, the lack of a transparent and verifiable mechanism between the two sides continues to fuel ambiguities and mistrust.
