Iran’s Energy Minister Highlights Water and Electricity Cooperation with Afghanistan

Abbas Aliabadi, Iran’s Minister of Energy, emphasized the development of joint cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan in the water and electricity sectors during a meeting with Alireza Beigdeli. According to the Iranian Embassy in Afghanistan, the Energy Minister described these collaborations as a basis for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic interactions between the two countries. He noted that the electricity industry and water resource management sectors could play a significant role in advancing regional cooperation. During the meeting, both sides discussed existing capacities to enhance technical and industrial cooperation in the fields of energy and water.
