Two Armed Robbers Arrested on Dasht-Abdan-Kunduz Highway

Taliban officials in Kunduz province have announced the arrest of two individuals accused of armed robbery on the Dasht-Abdan highway. According to the provincial police command, these individuals had been forcibly robbing local residents on this route over the past two months. The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior reported that cash, several mobile phones, and a Kalashnikov rifle were seized from the arrested suspects. This highway is a key route frequently used by local residents, and criminal incidents there had raised public concern. According to the provided information, the suspects have confessed to committing the crimes. The Ministry of Interior added that after completing initial investigations, their case will be handed over to judicial authorities. Despite repeated Taliban assurances of nationwide security, sporadic reports of theft and criminal activities continue to emerge from some provinces, highlighting the need for effective measures and transparent accountability from responsible agencies.
