UAE’s Mohammed bin Zayed and Israel’s Netanyahu Discuss Recent Attacks in Phone Call

Emirati media reported that Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held a phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, following recent attacks on the UAE. The official Emirati news agency (WAM) stated that during the conversation, the attacks against the UAE were condemned and support for the country’s security and stability was emphasized.
According to the report, Netanyahu and other officials who spoke with the UAE President expressed their backing for the measures Abu Dhabi is taking to ensure the safety of its citizens. The statement described the attacks as a violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and a threat to the security and stability of both the country and the Middle East region.
In addition to Netanyahu, bin Zayed had separate calls with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq.
Meanwhile, close ties between the UAE and Israel have expanded in recent years. Media sources previously reported that Israel’s Iron Dome defense system, along with technical teams, has been transferred to the UAE.
Separately, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected claims made by the UAE regarding missile and drone launches by Iran. In a statement, the ministry said that Iran’s armed forces’ defensive actions were solely in response to U.S. military movements and were not directed at the UAE.
The statement also warned about the security consequences of hosting foreign military bases and equipment in the UAE and emphasized the need to adhere to the principles of good neighborliness and international law.
