US Congressman Challenges Trump’s Claim of War’s End with Iran, Highlights Ongoing Costs

A US Congressman has questioned President Donald Trump’s claim that the war with Iran has ended, emphasizing that the consequences of this conflict continue and American citizens are bearing the costs.

Pat Ryan, a member of Congress, in a message on the social media platform X referring to Trump’s recent remarks, stated that the claim of the war’s end does not align with existing realities. He stressed that, contrary to the assertions of the president and his cabinet members, the situation on the ground and the economic repercussions of the war remain ongoing.

According to the congressman, more than 50,000 US military personnel are still deployed in the region, with billions of dollars worth of military equipment used in these missions. He also pointed to the significant rise in fuel prices within the US as a direct consequence of this situation.

Ryan added that even if the president declares the war over, the reality is that American families continue to feel its financial and security impacts. These remarks come amid ongoing debates within the US about the costs and outcomes of the Trump administration’s military policies.
