Afghanistan National Resistance Front Claims Responsibility for Kabul’s Qala-e-Najjar Explosion

The Afghanistan National Resistance Front has claimed responsibility for the explosion that took place on 30 April in the Qala-e-Najjar area of Kabul’s 11th police district. According to the front, two Taliban fighters were injured as a result of this incident.
In a statement released on Tuesday, 2 May, the resistance front emphasized that no harm came to its forces or civilians during the operation. However, the front did not provide further details on how the attack was carried out.
Local sources had previously confirmed the occurrence of two explosions in the Qala-e-Najjar area of Kabul on 30 April, telling the media that these events happened within the same vicinity.
The increase in such targeted attacks in the capital demonstrates the ongoing insecurity and the Taliban administration’s inability to ensure complete safety in Kabul—a concern that has persistently worried the city’s residents.
It is noteworthy that last week, the National Resistance Front also claimed responsibility for an explosion near the Taliban governor’s office in Logar province, an event highlighting the continued activities of armed opposition groups against the Taliban administration.
