Bamyan Municipality Reports Over 111 Million Afghanis in Revenue for 2025

Officials from the Bamyan Municipality have reported that in the Persian year 1404 (2025), the total revenue of the institution exceeded 111 million Afghanis. According to them, a significant portion of this amount was spent on development and regular budgets.
Mawlavi Rozi Mohammad Afkar, the mayor of Bamyan, stated that this revenue was collected from both fixed and variable sources, amounting to a total of 111,232,215 Afghanis. He added that 102,086,549 Afghanis of this sum have been spent on various sectors.
The mayor further noted that dozens of infrastructure projects were implemented over the past year. These projects included the construction of mosques, bridges, and culverts; road asphalting; hotel construction; establishment of 22 shops; installation of water supply networks; and river embankments.
Municipality officials said that the purpose of holding urban meetings is to involve residents in service and reconstruction plans, gather their opinions, and increase public participation in urban affairs. However, amid Taliban control over local institutions, some residents continue to call for greater transparency in the collection and expenditure of public revenues and for community oversight of development projects.
