Afghanistan and Central Asia to Hold Consultative Meeting on Politics, Security, and Economy

Kabul is set to host the “Afghanistan and Central Asia Consultative Dialogue” tomorrow (Sunday), a meeting initiated by the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs focusing on expanding regional interactions.
The session will be chaired by Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting Foreign Minister of the Taliban administration, and will include senior representatives from Afghanistan and Central Asian countries.
According to released information, political, economic, and security issues will be the main topics of discussion. The agenda also includes enhancing regional cooperation, strengthening trade relations, and facilitating transit between Afghanistan and Central Asian states.
This meeting takes place as the Taliban administration, over the past four years, has sought to broaden its regional relationships but still faces challenges related to international legitimacy and global political restrictions. Central Asian countries are considered key economic and transit partners for Afghanistan, and any practical agreements reached could significantly impact trade dynamics and Afghanistan’s access to regional markets.
