March 26 Movement Condemns War Against Iran, Accuses US and Israel of Destabilizing Region

The March 26 Movement issued a statement condemning the ongoing war against Iran, which the movement says was initiated by the United States and Israel, describing it as a source of instability in the region. The movement also expressed its solidarity with the Iranian people.

The statement said that the world is once again witnessing the expansion of military conflicts, with the US resorting to tension and conflict to achieve its objectives. The authors of the statement claimed that Washington employs tools such as political pressure, sanctions, blockade, and war in its foreign policy.

The March 26 Movement also referred to Iran’s oil and gas resources, noting that the country possesses significant energy reserves. The statement said these resources have made Iran’s position prominent in regional and global calculations.

In another part of the statement, claims were made regarding the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with several senior Iranian officials. The movement called this act a ‘terrorist operation’ and held the US and Israel responsible. Iranian official authorities have not yet responded to these claims.

In conclusion, the March 26 Movement strongly condemned what it called the ‘imposed war’ and emphasized the Iranian people’s right to defend themselves.
