6.2 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Western Japan

The Japan Meteorological Agency has reported a 6.2 magnitude earthquake that shook parts of western Japan. According to released information, the earthquake occurred in the western regions of Japan; however, no detailed information about human casualties or the extent of financial damage has been made available so far. Officials are still assessing the situation, and no tsunami warning has been issued to date.
