Allegations of Targeted Surveillance of French Muslims by Pro-Israel Groups

The French Council of Muslims has accused Jewish organizations in France, in coordination with the Israeli government, of carrying out targeted surveillance operations against Muslims living in the country.
According to information released by the council, two individuals played a major role in the operation: a French businessman and an intelligence agent affiliated with the Israeli regime. These two, according to confessions presented in a video clip, have been working since 2023 in coordination with the Tel Aviv administration to design strategies favoring Jewish organizations.
In the video, the French businessman admits to collaborating with a man named Dav Maimon, identified as an agent connected to the Israeli regime. He states that they collected targeted intelligence on French Muslims, specifically aiming to portray them as a security threat.
The French Council of Muslims also expressed concerns about potential involvement of certain French government and security agencies in the operation. The council has called on official authorities to provide a clear response regarding their possible role in the surveillance project.
Although this activity appears to be confined to French territory, its repercussions could affect the situation of Muslims across Europe. The use of surveillance tools to target a religious minority stands in direct contradiction to democratic and human rights values.
This report further underscores growing concerns about double standards and discriminatory treatment of Muslims in Western countries, particularly when supported by foreign entities, including the Israeli government.
