Freedom Front Claims Rocket Attack on Taliban Base in Takhar

The Freedom Front announced in a statement that on Thursday night, September 26, it carried out a rocket attack on a Taliban base in Khwaja Bahauddin district of Takhar province. The base was reportedly located at the residence of Taliban commander Abdulmak Tatar.

According to the group, two Taliban members were killed in the strike, while the number of wounded remains unclear. The Freedom Front also emphasized that none of its fighters were harmed during the operation.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident. In the past, they have often remained silent in response to attacks claimed by armed opposition groups such as the Freedom Front and the National Resistance Front.

The Freedom Front is one of the armed groups opposing Taliban rule, led by former military and security figures of the previous Afghan government. Alongside the National Resistance Front, it has vowed to continue armed resistance and expand operations across various provinces.
