Afghan Agriculture Ministry Delegation Travels to Tehran for Agricultural Exhibition

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock has announced that Baz Mohammad Faizan, Deputy Minister for Irrigation and Natural Resources, is leading a delegation to Tehran. The visit aims to participate in an agricultural machinery exhibition and to introduce modern irrigation technologies.
According to the ministry’s newsletter, members of the delegation are scheduled to hold bilateral trade meetings with companies and organizations active in agriculture, irrigation, and technology during the exhibition. The objectives of these meetings include sharing technical expertise, attracting investment, and facilitating access to modern agricultural equipment.
While the Taliban administration describes such trips as efforts to strengthen the agriculture sector, experts continually emphasize that sustainable development of this sector requires transparent policies, accountable management, and providing opportunities for all Afghan specialists—issues that have faced serious challenges in recent years.
