Sydney Shooting Suspects Entered Philippines with Indian Passports

The Philippine Bureau of Immigration has announced that two armed individuals, identified as suspects in the recent shooting in Sydney’s Bondi area, entered the Philippines on November 1 using Indian passports. They returned to Australia on November 28.

Dana Sandoval, spokesperson for the Bureau, told BBC World News that the two men listed Davao City as their final destination upon arrival in the Philippines.

According to Sandoval, their return flight to Australia was direct to Sydney.

Davao is a major city located in the eastern part of Mindanao island in southern Philippines. In recent years, certain areas in central and southwestern Mindanao, including the island’s poorer regions, have witnessed activities by Islamist militant groups.
