Beijing Urges Dialogue; Mao Ning Calls for Reduced Tensions Between Kabul and Islamabad

China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that Beijing expects Afghanistan and Pakistan to resolve their existing disputes and conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic means.

At a press conference today, Mao Ning emphasized that these two countries, as neighbors of China, should work towards reducing tensions and strengthening bilateral relations. He did not provide further details about the specific nature of the conflicts or the particular actions China expects.
