Taliban Representative Attends Moscow International Security Forum Preparatory Meeting

Maulvi Gul Hassan Hasan, the Taliban administration’s ambassador in Moscow, participated in the preliminary session of Russia’s International Security Forum, where initial information about the main themes of the forum was presented.

According to a statement from the Afghan Embassy in Moscow, which operates under Taliban administration control, the meeting was held for initial coordination and to outline the topics to be discussed at the upcoming forum.

The Russia International Security Forum is scheduled to take place in Moscow from May 26 to 28. The forum will focus on issues such as global security, regional cooperation, and significant political matters.

In recent years, Russia has sought to play a more active role in regional and global security dynamics by hosting such events. The presence of a Taliban administration representative at this forum comes at a time when the Taliban regime remains unrecognized by many countries, facing serious challenges in its diplomatic relations worldwide.
