Afghanistan Finds New Markets for Fresh and Dried Fruit Exports

Officials from the Taliban-run Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan say that over the past solar year, they have succeeded in finding new markets for the export of fresh and dried fruits. According to them, this initiative aims to expand exports and provide domestic products access to new trade destinations.
Fresh and dried fruits are among Afghanistan’s most important export items, with a large portion of the population in various provinces relying on horticulture and agricultural production for their livelihoods. Creating new markets can help increase sales and reduce product waste during the harvest season.
Ministry officials have not provided further details about the countries involved or the volume of exports but emphasize that efforts to strengthen the position of Afghan products in regional and international markets continue.
